YAHIKO Shrine

Yahiko Shrine at Yahiko Village, Niigata, Japan. Yahiko Village is situated on the Sea of Japan side of the central part of Niigata Prefecture. Its western side borders Niigata City and Nagaoka City with sacred Mt. Yahiko (634 meters) in between. While Tsubame City neighbors the eastern and southern sides of the village, there is a fertile grain-growing region abutting Niigata City on the northern side.

Skiing area

I went to the Mikawa Onsen skiing area on Wednesday.  Niigata has much snow.
The Mikawa Onsen is a local and a small skiing area.  Since it was a weekday, it was vacant.  This year was little snow and a kicker and a pipe is small.

New Year's party

I participated in the New Year's party of the relation of my work. In Japanese, it is called a "Shin nen kai".

 It is a Japanese-style New Year's party.

It was a gathering of the local presidents, the Geigi-san came. A Geigi is the same as a geisha girl. They announce a song and Japanese dance. And we can enjoy conversation.

Wild duck

I went to Hyou-ko.  The Hyou-ko is an artificial lake.
Although the swan came at this time, they were only wild ducks on that day.

My friend's gig

I went to the local live house to listen to a friend's gig last night.  Although it is a small live house, it is a homely good store.  I was also often appearing on this live house in my high school days.

Young generation's event was held last night.
